The beating heart of the PlastX program!
The PlastX HUB is where Collectors bring their plastic to be checked, weighed and approved before receiving payment. The HUB is also responsible for securing collections before sending them for processing.
Your PlastX Hub could be a small shopfront... a converted Food Truck...
a kiosk at a busy gas station...
Or it might be a van like this beauty, currently operating at Malls across Kuala Lumpur.

1. That they'll receive the right kind of plastic, in the color and condition they specify, every time.
2. That the plastic they receive is Post-Consumer - not new - so they know that they're doing something good for the environment.
3. That the people who collect their plastic will be treated well and paid fairly. And that no child will ever be involved in sourcing their plastic.

The Right Kind of Plastic
There are literally thousands of different types and combinations of plastics, but just 6 major polymers (or resins). Each of these has its own internationally recognised resin code (IRC):

Post-Consumer Recovered Plastic
PlastX ONLY accepts Post Consumer Recovered Plastic - meaning material that has been used, and then discarded by an end consumer.
Post Consumer material does NOT include brand new material, or manufacturing waste.
HUB Teams must ensure that Collections DO NOT include manufacturing waste, or new material.

Dignity, Respect & Fairness
PlastX is founded on principles of social responsibility, mutual trust, and integrity. ALL PlastX personnel will demonstrate respect for the individuals with whom they work, both directly and indirectly.
Collectors will always be treated fairly, and with respect.
And to ensure that vulnerable children are protected from exploitation, PlastX HUBs will ONLY accept plastic from the Registered PlastX Collector whose photo appears on the app.
